Ungentle Walking Tour

Huw Lemmey will lead a walking tour across sites in London that relate to historical and fictional stories of spying, from the 1930’s to the present day. This event coincides with Lemmey’s new film Ungentle, produced in collaboration with Onyeka Igwe. This is a special opportunity to visit some of the history-laden landscapes that drive the film, and explore their connections to the emergence of homosexual identity and the development of Britain’s counterintelligence capability in the mid 20th Century.

Lemmey first developed the research towards Ungentle in a walking tour commissioned by Studio Voltaire in 2018.

The tour will last approximately two hours. The majority of the tour will be spent walking or standing. Some seating may be available at certain sites, but is subject to public availability.
