Kong King Chu 江瓊珠 is a journalist, writer, and documentary director based in Hong Kong, with experience in publishing and is an author of a number of books. Since 2004, Kong has been a proactive producer of community documentaries, notably for Blossom of Struggle - Women of Choi Yuen Village (2012) concerning the preservation of the Choi Yuen Village; and Franco Mella (2018), retelling the story of Reverend Franco Mella, who enthusiastically participated in their local social movement.

In this documentary, directed by Kong King Chu, three women booksellers from Singapore, Malaysia, and Hong Kong talk about their passions, love of independent bookshops, and life missions.
Unrestrained by the commercial value emphasised by the capitalist society, the booksellers are content in their own way, sharing their enthusiasm about books through intimate anecdotal stories. Readers and writers share their views on how books shape their lives.
The film will be screened in In Mandarin and Cantonese, with English subtitles.
