House of Voltaire presents 'TWENTY-NINE'

Downstairs at Thomas Dane Gallery

An exhibition of works for sale, featuring works by 29 artists of world notoriety, will run from 29 November-16 December 2023 downstairs at Thomas Dane Gallery—all sales support Studio Voltaire's world-renowned artistic and public programmes.

Contributors include Hurvin Anderson, Aaron Angell, Phyllida Barlow, Pablo Bronstein, Sol Calero, Lubna Chowdhary, Scott Covert, Alexandre da Cunha, Thea Djordjadze, Martino Gamper, Jake Grewal, Jochen Holtz, Sanya Kantarovsky, Anish Kapoor, Christina Kimeze, Phillip King, Silke Otto Knapp, Ella Kruglyanskaya, Michael Landy, Ashish and Linder, Djofray Makumbu, France-Lise McGurn, Sola Olulode, Nicolas Party, Amalia Pica, James Shaw, Daniel Sinsel, Richard Slee, Jo Spence, Mary Stephenson, Caragh Thuring, Anna Weyant and Jonas Wood.

Studio Voltaire, which celebrates their 30th anniversary next year, established House of Voltaire in 2010 as a unique fundraising platform, raising over £5 million for their programmes to date.

This is the latest series of special projects for House of Voltaire. Flagship international presentations have included House of Voltaire Mayfair, House of Voltaire Miami Beach and House of Voltaire Melbourne. Recent special projects have included House of Voltaire Presents James Shaw, France-Lise McGurn, Supergroup and Rene Matic, as well as In Bed With John Booth and Jeremy Deller’s Fuck Brexit range.

House of Voltaire produces and sells a cornucopia of unique artworks, limited edition prints and specially commissioned homewares, clothing, objects and accessories by world-renowned artists, makers and designers. Thomas Dane Gallery was established in 2004 and presents exhibitions across two gallery spaces in London at 3 and 11 Duke Street, St. James’s with a third space in Naples on Via Francesco Crispi which opened in 2018. The gallery is known for its commitment to moving image, supporting the production and exhibition of works by Steve McQueen, Paul Pfeiffer, Amie Siegel, Akram Zaatari and the Estate of Bruce Conner. In addition, the gallery has brought renowned international artists to London audiences such as Cecily Brown, Arturo Herrera, Glenn Ligon, Albert Oehlen and Dana Schutz, who have since garnered an established base of institutional and collector support in the UK. Alongside nurturing the development of new talent including Hurvin Anderson, Caragh Thuring, Walead Beshty, Ella Kruglyanskaya and Anthea Hamilton, the gallery’s programme continues to involve guest curators and gallery collaborations. Such exhibitions include: Very Abstract and Hyper Figurative, (March 2007, curated by Jens Hoffman), Sunless – Journeys in Alta California since 1933 (September 2010, curated by Walead Beshty), The Medium of Contingency, (January 2011, curated by Miguel Abreu and Robin McKay), Signals (June 2018), in collaboration with kurimanzutto, Terra Trema (September 2019) in collaboration with Mendes Wood DM, A Matter of Life and Death (March 2022, curated by Jenni Lomax) and most recently Mettere al mondo il mondo (October 2023, curated by Mark Godfrey).
