About Chandrakant Patel
Chandrakant Patel has been a resident artist at ActionSpace’s Studio Voltaire studio since 2004. Chandrakant’s practice combines painting and drawing to create multiple, site-specific installations. Emerging patterns echo traditional Hindu Mandalas, a sense of ritual and place of worship is reinforced through Chandrakant’s performative acts with the final works. Chandrakant has exhibited widely, creating site-specific work for ActionSpace’s ‘Part of It’ and ‘Watch This Space’ live art public exhibitions and events programmes for Wandsworth Arts Fringe. Other exhibitions include: ‘Assembled Lines’ Studio RCA for Wandsworth Arts Fringe, ‘Environments’ Outside In, Piano Noble, Royal Academy Summer exhibition, and ‘Abundance’ a touring exhibition.
