Members Exhibition

Selected by Enrico David & Catherine Wood

Studio Voltaire’s fourth annual open submission exhibition aims to showcase the strength and diversity of its studio and external membership, comprising over 200 artists. Every year, the changing panel of invited artists, critics and curators, select artist’s work.

This year’s exhibition included the work of twenty-two artists chosen by artist Enrico David and curator Catherine Wood, selecting the most engaging work from this year’s submissions to produce an acumination of diverse artist approaches and contexts.

Works included a large scale sculptural installation and wall paintings by Markus Vater; a site specific intervention outside of the gallery by Pablo Bronstein; and drawings by Adam Latham that present a bewildering post-colonial setting. In addition, there will be an evening of live performance with Laura Cull and William Hunt, and a screening of Joe Walsh’s pop styled video Mr Miguel, an ode to vaginal penetration.
