Markus Vater Book Launch and Reading

Objects of Significance

Onsite studio artist Markus Vater will launch his latest artist’s book, Objects of Significance, which comprises a series of photographs and writings compiled over several years.

The book delves into objects imbued with personal meaning, exploring themes of relationships, memories and existential inquiries. With a blend of humour and profundity, Vater poses contemplative questions such as: "What do you see when you close your eyes and turn your head toward the sun?" and "How much does a cloud weigh?". He engages in imaginative dialogues, including an interview with the North Sea and reflects on the nature of art and the essence of voids.

The event will feature a reading by the artist. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase signed copies of the book and discuss it with the artist.
