This event celebrates the launch of London Review of Trannies No.2: THE REBIRTHING ROOM, a new publication which responds to Danielle Brathwaite-Shirley’s THE REBIRTHING ROOM, with contributions and responses from the trans* literary scene.

London Review of Trannies is part of TISSUE, a trans* writing initiative established by Donna Marcus and Sam Moore, offering writers the opportunity to share their work through reading events, writing groups and printed publications.

London Review of Trannies No.2: THE REBIRTHING ROOM will be available to purchase on the evening, with readings and performances from the publication's contributors.

Doors will open at 7 pm. Readings will begin at 7.30 pm. All proceeds from ticket sales support TISSUE.

TISSUE is a writing initiative that produces events and publications for trans* writers and their admirers. After programming an events series for Frieze No.9 Cork Street from 2022-2023, TISSUE has held readings at The Whitechapel Gallery, Ugly Duck and Amanda Wilkinson Gallery. Their first anthology, TISSUE PAPERS 01: Making, was a Frieze Top Pick and their critical pamphlet series, the London Review of Trannies has responded to events and exhibitions at the Rio Cinema, Amanda Wilkinson Gallery and now Studio Voltaire.
