Robin Smith

Robin Smith has been a resident artist at ActionSpace’s Studio Voltaire studio since 2014. He creates stylised painted portraits saturated with vivid colour, where figure and background blend through geometric and organic forms. Smith has exhibited in group shows curated by ActionSpace including ‘The Out There Art Fair’, Cockpit Open and ‘Assembled Lines’ for Wandsworth Arts Fringe, and external exhibitions including ‘Deviations’, House of Annetta. During the pandemic, Smith shared his practice with fellow painter Richard Phoenix through online painting exchanges which developed into the Skelf interactive exhibition ‘Zoomin’ and ‘Parallel’, a live painting event at Studio Voltaire.
