Lasmin Salmon

Lasmin Salmon has been a resident artist at ActionSpace’s Studio Voltaire studio since 2006. She creates unconventional, large scale sculptural textiles, fusing richly textured forms with chunky yet delicate hand stitching. Salmon has exhibited widely within contemporary galleries and pop-up spaces. The artist exhibited alongside textile artists Shelly Goldsmith, Raisa Kabir and Shona Robin at the Elysium Gallery, Swansea for ‘Threads’. Lasmin’s ‘Rug’ toured with Radical Craft national touring exhibition co-curated by Outside In and Craft Space. For the Festival of Love at the Southbank Centre Salmon created the ‘Yarn Mountain’, with artist Celia Pym, sharing their love of knitting.
