Kwaga Sillingi
Kwaga Sillingi has been a resident artist at ActionSpace’s Studio Voltaire studio since 2018. She is primarily a painter, combining paper collage and acrylic to create bold, large-scale paintings. Through her practice the artist repeatedly explores densely layered colour combinations and formations of circular, ‘looped’ shapes. In a short time, Sillingi has established herself as an artist driven to paint and developed a vast body of distinctive, colour-rich, vibrant paintings. She has exhibited at both Studio Voltaire’s Open House and Cockpit’s Open Studios, and was featured in x3 ‘Ritual Patterns’ an online exhibition in collaboration between ActionSpace, Venture Arts and Project Ability.
